THE AGE OF MOKNIFICENCE
Our inspiration and creative ideas come from “BACKSTAGE” the sound is same as “莫后” in Chinese, therefore, the theme of Karen’s exhibition - The Age Of Moknificence “莫后”年代, We interest a few elements in the exhibition which related to “BACKSTAGE” such as Curtain, Stage, Props.etc.
“Moknificence” created by combining Karen’s last name, Mok and magnificence which means splendor and grand. The font that used for also called Magnificence. Moreover, we are glad to designe a typeface of “Karen Mok” especially for this exhibition.
We designed three different combinations of logo for Karen Mok’s 20th anniversary exhibition, they can be used individually in different circumstances and on products, such as iPhone case, necklace, etc..
There are several messages hidden in the logo, the roman numerals “XX” indicate the time, “20th anniversary”; the crown represents Karen’s splendid position in her art of performing; white silhouette is actually
Karen’s side face. Besides, we also designed a repeat pattern with the cat logo.
